Madison Varsity and Junior Varsity teams all claimed wins over Crest last Tuesday, Dec. 19.
The Bulldogs traveled to Colony last Tuesday to face off against the Crest Lancers.
Madison Boys Varsity lead by 10 at the end of the first quarter. Together, Octavian Dean and Lane Darbro opened the game, tallying points for the first quarter total. Crest came back in the second quarter, outscoring the Bulldogs 19 to 10 and concluding the half with Madison up by one, 24-23.
The Bulldogs increased their advantage in the third quarter, going into the final quarter of play, 42-32. Colton Isch knocked down seven out of nine points for Madison in the fourth quarter. The Bulldog Boys took home the win, 51-42.
Scoring for the Madison Varsity boys’ team were: Isch 24, Darbro 13, Dean 10 and Cade Hurlburt with 4 points.
The Bulldog Varsity Girls’ team trailed by one going into the second quarter. Before closing the first half, Madison knocked down 6 shots and claimed a three-point advantage, 15-12.
The Bulldogs had their highest scoring quarter in the third period, tallying 19 points and increasing their advantage, 34-18. The lady Bulldogs claimed the win, 38-20.
Scoring for Madison were: Jalynn Weakley 15, Caylin Luthi 10, Brooke Gaines 7 and Candice Ashlock with 6 points.
JV Boys took home a 5135 win over the Lancers.
JV Girls played two quarters against Crest last Tuesday, winning in a low-scoring game, 6-2.
