The West Elk Patriots traveled to Marion last Friday for a duals tournament.
West Elk Patriot senior Evan Coble and junior Creyo Koop went 6-0 for the night and Koop recorded his 100th career win.
The Patriots were open in the 106, 113, 120, 126, 138, 144 and 150-pound weight classes.
Against Wellington, the Patriots fell 12-60. West Elk claimed their only victories in the dual with default wins by Coble (132) and Koop (165), as Wellington was open in those weight classes. Central Burden
In the second match of the night, the Patriots faced Central-Burden, where West Elk claimed a 24-23 victory. Central- Burden’s team score was adjusted by -1 for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Patriots Murphy (215) and Metcalf (285) won by default and West Elk’s Coble (132) and Koop (165) both pinned their opponents to secure the victory.

The Patriots fell to Clearwater, 10-63 with Coble and Koop again claiming victories for West Elk.

Hillsboro
Four Patriots claimed wins over Hillsboro, but it wasn’t enough due to open weigh classes and the Patriots fell 24-42 to Hillsboro. Patriot Coble won by default and Koop, Patteson and Murphy both claimed wins by fall.
