Members of the Elk County Wrestling (ECW) club competed in the Warrior Clash last Saturday, where ECW’s Emma Baumgartel and Flint Pope placed third in their age/weight brackets. Jayce Baumgartel and Kash Bidwell placed sixth.
Following are the individual match wins for ECW participants: 12U Girls 90: Emma Baumgartel placed 3rd. She won by fall over Tegan Buck (Clinton Youth Wrestling) (Fall 0:36); won by fall over Lilliana Grant (RSA Red Storm Wrestling) (Fall 0:35); and won by fall over Sawyer Beckman (Oakley Wrestling Club) (Fall 3:14).
6U Rookie 37: Jayce Baumgartel placed 6th. He won by fall over Nathan Hernandez (Team Lightning Wrestling Club) (Fall 0:32); and won by fall over Taya McQuitty (Halstead Wrestling Club) (Fall 1:29).
6U Rookie 46: Flint Pope placed 3rd. He received a bye; won by fall over Malcolm Heincker (Carroll Wrestling Club) (Fall 0:13); won by fall over Victor Frayre (Alpha Academy) (Fall 0:54); won a 10-4 decision over Evelyn Wetter (Salina Wrestling Club); and won a 9-4 decision over Ryker Macy (Kansas Young Guns Wrestling Cl).
6U Rookie 55: Konlee Bidwell won a 12-2 major decision over Hunter Befort (Dodge City Wrestling Academy).
10U Open 85: Kash Bidwell placed 6th. He received a bye; won a 2-0 decision over Mason Hanson (Sly-Fox Wrestling Academy); and won by fall over Henry Ebert (Andover Wrestling Club) (Fall 2:49).
10U Novice 76: Riggin McGee placed 5th.
Also competing for ECW was Corbin Arbuckle, 12U Open 140.
