Lady Tornadoes Competed At Chase County

Four Lady Tornado wrestlers traveled to Chase County last Thursday for the Bulldog Women’s Jamboree. The Ladies combined for a record of 7-3 for the day with two going undefeated. Both Harlie Owings (190) and Makyla Gore (235) went undefeated in their brackets to claim top honors. Also representing the Tornadoes were Maela Neill (125) and Victoria Grado (170).

Both Harlie Owings (190) and Makyla Gore (235) went undefeated in their brackets to claim top honors. Also representing the Tornadoes were Maela Neill (125) and Victoria Grado (170).

Following are the individual results for Eureka participants: Women’s 125: Maela Neill went 2-1 for the night. She won by fall over Kori Kramer (Hesston) (Fall 1:50); won by fall over Caydance Eastman (Osage City) (Fall 0:56); and lost by fall to Remi Cain (Clearwater) (Fall 3:12).

Women’s 170: Victoria Grado went 1-2 for the night. She won by fall over Brenlyn Richmond (Hesston) (Fall 0:24); lost by fall to Kiley Blake (Clearwater) (Fall 3:06); and lost by medical forfeit to Nikki Trego (Osage City).

Women’s 190: Harlie Owings went 2-0 and pinned her opponent, both times, in under a minute. She won by fall over Kayleigh Latimer (Central Heights) (Fall 0:55); and won by fall over Kayleigh Latimer (Central Heights) (Fall 0:56).

Women’s 235: Makyla Gore also went 2-0 for the night and pinned both her opponents in a total time of 0:55. She won by fall over Regan Eilert (Hesston) (Fall 0:33); and won by fall over Makenzie Rohr (Solomon) (Fall 0:22).

They will compete at the Hoisington Tournament on Friday, December 15, beginning at 3 p.m. This will be their final outing before the winter break. They will return to action on Friday, January 5, at 3 p.m., in Burlington.
