The Tornado high school boys wrestling team traveled to Chase County on Friday, December 7, for their second outing of the season.
Following are the individual match wins for Eureka participants: Men’s 106: Mason Hughes went 1-2 for the evening. He lost by fall to Kolton Wyatt (Emporia) (Fall 4:26); won by fall over Kolton Wyatt (Emporia) (Fall 1:09); and lost by fall to Kolton Wyatt (Emporia) (Fall 1:41).
Men’s 120B: Cruz Escareno placed 2nd. He went 1-1 for the night. He lost by fall to Dan Kuder (Hesston) (Fall 0:51); and won by fall over Braiden Higgins (Douglass) (Fall 0:43).
Men’s 144B: Kadin Deshane went 2-0, pinning both of his opponents. He won by fall over Korbyn Gentz (Herington) (Fall 5:18); and won by fall over Isaac Carolan (Solomon) (Fall 1:30).
Men’s 157B: Dalton Pool also went 2-0 at the jamboree and pinned both of his opponents. He won by fall over Trevor Allan (Douglass) (Fall 2:54); and won by fall over Drewe Morgan (Chase County) (Fall 1:33).
Men’s 175: Gauge Lopez also went 2-0 for the night, claiming both victories with pins. He won by fall over Andrew Brown (Clearwater) (Fall 1:35); and won by fall over Robert Seastrom (Osage City) (Fall 1:05).
