Letter to the Editor

Letter

I subscribed to your paper for the sole purpose of being able to read the Historical Articles written by Barbara Nicholas and she passed away the weekend after I had subscribed. And was sorry to hear of her passing. Everything I can find was that she was a wonderful person and will be missed. I look for other items she has written.

I was very happy to see your paper continued the Historical column. I enjoy doing research and it is important to me that I am able to know who the author is. If it was Jim Hoy, Zennith Lindamood or William Allen White enlightens me and I start with an understanding of somewhat to expect. Although the article this past week said it was written by a Staff Member. Of the Greenwood County Historical Museum Staff. Today, tomorrow, or maybe twenty years from now the authors identification is important to me or anyone doing research.

As an author myself I take great pride in what I write trying each time to improve and would feel bad no one cared enough to give me credit for my efforts.

Thank you for a wonderful weekly paper please keep up the good work.

Robert W. Phillips Lawrence, Kansas
