Special Church Events Planned For Christmas

Area churches have planned events to observe the celebration of the birth of Christ this holiday season. The public is invited to attend the church or churches of their choice and hear the Christmas story as it is related through scripture. All are welcome to attend services. Those attending do not have to be a member of any of the churches.

Eureka United Methodist Church (521 N. Main, Eureka)

Eureka United Methodist Church will hold a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 6 p.m. December 24.

The Rock Church (717 N. Main Street, Eureka) All are invited to celebrate the birth of Christ at The Rock Church. Their inaugural Christmas service since joining the community will be held on December 24 at 10:30 a.m. Sunday school kids will present a play as the story of the birth of Jesus is read. All are welcomed to enjoy Christmas songs with the congregation.

Piedmont United Methodist Church (80 J Road, Piedmont)

Piedmont United Methodist Church will be having a Christmas program on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at the church. Soup and dessert will be enjoyed at 5 p.m. and a sing along will begin at 5:30.

Christ Lutheran Church (315 N. Elm, Eureka, KS 67045 and Upper Fall River) Christmas at Christ Lutheran Church will be celebrated with a Christmas Eve candlelight service Sunday, December 24 at 6:30 p.m.

Cookies and Caroling at the Upper Fall River church will be Sunday, December 17 at 4 p.m.

Neal Evangelical Free Church (located on Highway 54 and Neal) Neal Evangelical Free Church will celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior with the services and activities listed below.

Christmas brunch will be served Sunday, December 17 at 9:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall. The Christmas program, entitled “Christmas Changes Everyone,” will follow at 10 a.m. and will feature choir music. Christmas caroling will be held later that evening, with those wishing to participate meeting at the Church at 5 p.m. Fruit baskets will also be delivered at this time. Afterwards, a soup supper will be held at the church.
