West Elk Patriot basketball opened their winter season last Friday in Oswego, with both the boys and girls teams coming way with victories.
In the boys game, the game was tied after the first quarter at 7. The Patriots dominated in the second, outscoring Oswego 29-7 and claiming the lead. The Patriots went on to win the game 53-29.

The Patriots will compete in the Wildcat Tournament at Yates Center this week, before hosting Neodesha on December 12.
