Three Elk County Wrestlers (ECW) traveled to McPherson last Sunday for the 2023 Girls Mac Town Throwdown. Following are the individual match wins for ECW participants: 6U 37-42: Axl Ellsbury placed 3rd. She won an 11-6 decision over Roxanna Stephens (Abilene Kids Wrestling Club) and won a 13-8 decision over Laina Stringer (MAC Wrestling Club).
6U 44-46: Hendrix Ells-bury placed 5th. She won by fall over Bo Evans (Ogdens Outlaws Wrestling Club) (Fall 1:40).
12U 88-94: Emma Baumgartel placed 3rd. She won a 9-6 decision in a tie-breaker over Avryn Beiker (Hays Wrestling Club); won by fall over Aaliyah McGinty (Smoky Valley Wrestling Club) (Fall 0:17); and won a 6-3 decision over Lydia Robinette (Bobcat Wrestling).
