Vegas Send-Off Party To Be Sunday, December 3

A Flinthills Intermediate School fourth grader will represent the area next month at the 2023 Junior World Finals. Mayley Decker, of Reece, qualified for the 10 and under Breakaway Roping (boys and girls) event, which will be held in Las Vegas, Nev. At the same time, the National Finals Rodeo will be held.

Decker loves to rodeo. It doesn’t matter which event she is competing in; she loves and competes in them all. She qualified for the Junior World Finals at the Cowboys for Cancer Crisis Fund- Doug Hazelbaker Memorial in Fort Scott, held in September.

She will rope Thursday, December 7, in Wrangler Rodeo Arena. The contest begins at 10 a.m. To watch the contest or for more information visit: https:// www.nfrexperience. com/juniorworldfinals/ A special Vegas Send-Off Party will be held on Sunday, December 3, at the Rosalia Community Building, from 12:30 – 5 p.m. The event is being held by Kim and Georgia Kelly and Nicole Downard. The party will include a free-will soup and chili feed to help with travel expenses.
