Players selected for the South Central Border All-League Football team have been announced, with several area athletes receiving honors.
Offense
West Elk’s Creyo Koop and Trent Haag, Junior offensive backs, were named to the first team. Joining them on first team were: Offensive backs Jace Wunderlich, Senior, Central Burden; Alex Smith, Senior, South Sumner and Dalton Morrison, Senior, Attica/Argonia. Offensive linemen: Tanner Kelly, Junior, South Sumner; Boston Norris, Senior, Central Burden; Devonte Harris, Senior, Cedar Vale/Dexter and Karter Hiten, Senior, Oxford.
Offensive ends: Jackson Risley, Senior and Alex Shore, Junior, South Sumner and Russ Smith, Senior, Central Burden.
Named to the second team for offense were: Offensive backs: Maddex Moreno, Senior, West Elk; Jackson Dowell, Junior, Sedan and Cordell Jordan, Junior, Oxford.
Offensive linemen: Holton McLean, Senior, West Elk and Kaden Miller, Senior, Central Burden. Offensive end: Miles Easley, Senior, Central Burden.
Area athletes receiving honorable mention recognition for offense included Flinthills Senior Cody Williams, Offensive lineman. Joining him for honorable mention recognition were: Offensive backs: Xander Woods, Senior, Central Burden; Mak Blosser, Freshman, South Sumner and Jenson Harness, Senior, Udall. Offensive line: Hunter O’Neil, Senior. Offensive end: Brayden Henderson, Senior, Cedar Vale/Dexter.
Defense
Area athletes earning first team recognition for defense were Junior defensive lineman Maddex Moreno, Junior linebacker Creyo Koop and Senior defensive back Evan Coble all of West Elk and defensive back Conner Sigg, Senior, of Flinthills. Also named to the first team were: Defensive linemen: Kaden Miller, Senior, Central Burden; Miles Newell, Senior, South Sumner and Anthony Williams, Senior, Oxford. Linebackers: Jackson Risley and Alex Smith Seniors, South Sumer; Carson Vineyard, Sophomore, Attica/Argonia and Jackson Dowell, Junior, Sedan. Defensive backs: Jace Wunderlich, Senior, Central Burden.

Linebackers: Boston Norris, Senior, Central Burden and Jenson Harness, Senior, Udall. Defensive backs: Alex Shore, Junior, South Sumner; Conner Commerford, Junior, Oxford.
Special teams honors went to Senior Kicker Uriah Tillapaugh and Junior Returner Creyo Koop of West Elk who were named to first team and Flinthills Sophomore Parker Sutton, Kicker, second team. Joining them in first team recognition was Punter Cordell Jordan, Junior, Oxford. Second team recognition also went to: Punter Russ Smith, Senior, Central Burden and Returner Carson Vineyard, Sophomore, Attica/Argonia.
