Mary “Jane” Junkersfeld, 80, of Eureka, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at home.

Mary “Jane” Junkersfeld, 80, of Eureka, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at home.

She was born July 18, 1943 to Frank and Josephine Pfeffer Thielemier in Engelberg, Ark.

Jane was a member of the Sacred Heart Alter Society. She enjoyed going to the river with her children, vacationing in Colorado with her late husband, bowling, and collecting antiques. Jane married Paul Dean Junkersfeld July 21, 1962 in Engelberg, Ark. She worked at Brown Shoe Company in Pocahontas for 20 years from 1961-1981. They then moved to Texas in 1981 and from there to Eureka, Kansas in 1984 where her and Paul owned and operated Countryside Auto & Antiques until retiring in 2005.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Junkersfeld; parents, Frank and Josephine Thielemier; and sisters, Aleene Warden and Shirley Sorg.

Jane is survived by sons, Mark Wayne (Jolie Schmutz) Junkersfeld of Eureka, Paul Allen (Stacy Ambs) Junkersfeld of Frisco, Texas and Roy Lee Junkersfeld of Eureka; daughters, Deana Annette (Daren) Yohe of Mulvane, KS, Janel Kristi Junkersfeld of Lenexa, and Grace Josephine (Ramon) Lujan of Belle Plaine. She is also survived by brothers, Donald “Don” Thielemier, Frank Thielemier, Richard Thielemier, Stephen “Steve” Thielemier, and Gerard “Jerry” Thielemier; and sister Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Thielemier Lindsey; nine grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Tuesday, November 28, from 57 p.m. in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a Rosary being said at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, November 29, at 10 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Engelberg followed by burial in St. John Cemetery.
