It’s Thanksgiving this week. A time to reflect on all you are thankful for and spend time with loved ones. We wish y’all a safe and happy holiday weekend. If you’re traveling, be safe and buckle up.

Hello to all in area nursing and assisted living facilities. Hello also to all in area hospitals and rehab centers.

We offer our sympathy to the family of Larry Paul Lawrence. We offer our sympathy to all others who lost loved ones this past week. May they all rest in peace.

Jessie Hoag has been busy with many activities at the Toronto Library. She visited with all at the Toronto Senior Center last Wednesday, showing and telling of all the library has to offer people of all ages.

Next Saturday, December 2, is going to be a busy weekend in Toronto. The Toronto Booster Club along with the Toronto Volunteer Fire Department are hosting a “Hometown Christmas” starting at 1 p.m. with a Craft Bazaar. At 5 p.m., everyones favorite band “Cedar Creek Crossing” will be providing great music.

Also at 5 p.m. is the Toronto Volunteer Fire Department “Chili Feed” and “Santa’s Gift Shop.” Then Santa will be arriving about 6 p.m. and Keila Sherman Photography will be on hand for pictures with Santa.

Following that, at 7 p.m. will be “Story Time” with author Morgan Menefee and last, but not least, will be a “Family Christmas Movie” sponsored by the Toronto Library at 7:30 p.m.

The chili feed is a free will donation as this is a fundraiser for the Toronto Volunteer Fire Department.

Mark your calendars and come join the fun!

The Booster Club is busy with all kinds of activities throughout the year, not just Toronto Day’s and the fire department is a necessity and they also have many events including fundraisers and educational activities for the kids in town.
