Marshall Elementary Sixth Graders Hosted Veterans Day Assembly

Keeping with tradition, the sixth graders at Marshall Elementary School, in Eureka, hosted a special Veterans Day Assembly last Friday, November 10.

Keeping with tradition, the sixth graders at Marshall Elementary School, in Eureka, hosted a special Veterans Day Assembly last Friday, November 10.

The sixth grade choir sang “The Brave” by John Riggio and the sixth grade band played “Grand Ole Flag” by George Cohen. Students then gave a demonstration on “America’s White Table. The assembly concluded with students singing “God Bless the USA” and “Taps” being played. Refreshments were served.

Following the assembly, sixth grade students, along with Veteran family members in attendance, gathered for a photo. Pictured above are, from left to right: Donovan Jones, whose father Taylor Jones is currently serving in t h e M a r i n e s ; Adam Morris (Navy) with his son Nolan; Ben Lewis (Army) with step son Gavin Gonzales and friend Marcus Clark; Jake Duerksen (Army) with son Henry and step-daughter Natalie Pennington; and Leevi Werner (Army) with daughter Shalyn.

Eureka’s VFW Post 2712 hosted their annual program on Saturday, November 11.
