The Eureka Garden Club met Friday, November 3, at 11:30 a.m. at TNT. Lunch was served to 10 active members, one associate member and one guest.
The Vice President Ann Coon called the meeting to order. She expressed appreciation to the hostesses, Rise Russin and Loria Howard.
Leslie Spillman moved that Nancy Huntington’s memorial be increased to $100. Sue McDonald seconded the motion which carried.
Spillman moved that $150 be given to Emprise Bank for the “Adopt a Child” project. Seventy – five dollars towards a boy’s gift and $75 towards a girl’s gift.
Marcia Evenson gave the program telling members how to take care of their Christmas plants. Patricia Soul, Howard and Vicki Lindsey received prizes from Evenson by answering questions correctly.
The next meeting will be Friday, December 1, at the Eureka Country Club with Sandy Dickerson serving as hostess.
The meeting was closed with members repeating “The Gardener’s Creed.”
Door prizes were awarded to Marilyn Seymour and Spillman.
