Rockin’ Robin!

Here we are already in the 11th month of 2023. This year has had a lot of hurdles; but, yet it seems to have flown by. As a child, I remember hearing “the older you get the faster it goes” and that seems to be true. The balancing act continues and notes are vital. It seems that although I didn’t need lists in the past to remember all the things; after turning 40 this year it is a necessity. I apologize for not getting to all the things. Time may not have allowed, or I simply didn’t get the reminder to the note.

Congratulations to area athletes for receiving post season honors. For the Tornadoes: Junior Trinity Samuels was named to the honorable mention TVL Volleyball team. Junior Kalim Mouer was named to the offensive honorable mention team as a running back and to the defensive all-TVL team as a linebacker. Fellow Junior Lakin Valentine was also selected to the all-TVL defense team as a defensive back. Sophomore Gauge Lopez was named to the honorable mention team as a defensive line.

Happy 45th birthday to my husband, Wes, this week! Here’s to hoping you get great weather to allow for time at the golf course.

As we continue towards the holiday season, I want to ask our readers to look for the positives in every situation. What are you thankful for? Whether it be hourly or daily, we are surrounded by things we can be thankful for. However, sometimes we are quick to complain about small things. And, if there isn’t a positive item, make sure that the comments being shared are constructive or that you have a solution in mind to make it successful/positive.

Make plans to purchase the annual Eureka Honors Club birthday/anniversary calendars. They are scheduled to arrive to

this week and will be available at our office, State Farm Insurance and the local banks for $5. This is a fundraiser for the club, which goes toward the continuation of the annual Easter Egg Hunt and Honors Banquet.
