Eureka sophomore Rose Buck claimed her second state medal last Saturday, when she claimed sixth place at the 2A State Cross Country meet.
She ran the 5K run at Wamego Country Club with a time of 20:09.82.
Buck claimed a ninth place finish at the 3A meet last year, completing the race with a time of 20:17.1 Buck broke the school record she set last year, in September of this year, with the new record being 19:15.0 Claiming top honors at the 2A State meet was Madison Howland of Smith Center, who ran the race with a time of 18:38.35.
