Organizers of “The Senior Soup Social” held their first meal Friday, October 13. Sixteen Eureka area residents were in attendance. Kids from Courtney Turner’s Wunder Room made table center pieces for the dinner. The gift/door prize was won by Chauncey Bibey.
The next social will be held Friday, November 10 at the Eureka Senior Center. Food will be served from 5-6 p.m. with an activity to follow. The evening’s menu will be as follows: Turkey and fixings.
The activity for the evening will be hosted by Heartstrings Animal Advocates of Severy, an animal foster/rescue nonprofit organization. This will align with National Animal Shelter and Rescue Appreciation week.
