Madison Bulldogs Concluded Season With Victory

The Madison Bulldog football team wrapped up the 2023 season with a big win on the road, at Flinthills, last Thursday night. The Bulldogs took control early, scoring four touchdowns and taking a 28-0 lead into the second quarter. The Bulldogs scored two more touchdowns in the second to take a 40-0 lead into halftime.

The Bulldogs took control early, scoring four touchdowns and taking a 28-0 lead into the second quarter. The Bulldogs scored two more touchdowns in the second to take a 40-0 lead into halftime.

The Bulldog defense held the Mustangs to less than 50-yards of offense in the first half and forced two turnovers.

The game ended at the end of the third quarter due to an injury to a Flinthills player, with the Bulldogs winning the game 40-0.

“We are very proud of the effort and victory to send our seniors off with a victory in their last game,” stated head coach Nathan Teichgraeber. “They are leaving a legacy of success (32-10 in four seasons) and strong character on and off the field. We will miss our seniors,” he continued.

Coach Teichgraeber went on to express appreciation to Bulldog Nation, for the support throughout this season.

Senior Hayden Helm led the Bulldogs with 202 yards/3 touchdown rushing. Senior Lane Darbro rumbled for 155 yards and 2 touchdown and junior Colton Isch went for 80 yards and a touchdown.

The Bulldog defense pitched their third shutout of the season in holding the Mustangs scoreless.

Madison finished with a 5-4 overall record, with a second place Lyon County League finish. Flinthills finished 2-7.
