We offer our sympathy to the families of Phil O’Dell and Gale Watts. We offer our sympathy to all others who lost loved ones this past week. May they all rest in peace.

The annual “Trunk or Treat” was successful Saturday night. Well, kind of, there weren’t but about eight “Trunks” set up to pass out candy. I think many didn’t get out because of the weather, not knowing it had been moved to the gym.

There was no shortage of kids dressed in everything from Ariel, the Little Mermaid to Yoda. My apologies to those who didn’t make it because of the weather. I should have said in case of inclement weather it would be moved to the gym. I know not everyone has Facebook and saw that post.

Halloween has now passed and the next thing we have to watch for is election day. This is something we need to take seriously, especially the local elections!!

We have three openings on the City Council and four on the ballot with two write-in candidates. Each individual wants to do what’s best for our city and each has their own idea of what’s best.

I urge you to do your civic duty and get out and vote next Tuesday, November 7.
