Lady Tornado sophomores Rose Buck and Britta Mongeau represented Eureka last Saturday at the 2A State Cross Country meet, at Wamego Country Club.
A total of 98 girls competed at the state meet. Eureka’s Rose Buck placed sixth at the state tournament with a time of 20:09.6; and Lady Tornado Britta Mongeau placed 44th, with a time of 22:30.5. This is Buck’s second state medal as she placed ninth at the 3A state meet during her freshman year.
She is the daughter of Dan and Pam Buck, of Eureka.
Mongeau is the daughter of Brian and Vandetta Mongeau of Eureka.
