Three Greenwood County runners set personal records (PR) last Saturday as they competed at Regional contests and punched their tickets to state.
Lady Tornado sophomores Rose Buck and Britta Mongeau will represent Eureka at 2A State in Wamego this Saturday.
Buck set a school record with her PR, with a time of 19:06.94 and was named regional champion. This will be her second state appearance. Mongeau placed seventh with a time of 21:19.90. This will be her first state appearance. They are slated to run at 10:35 a.m., this Saturday, at Wamego Country Club.
Lady Bulldog junior Lily Hudson also set a PR at 1A Regionals and placed ninth with a time of 22:45 to punch her ticket to state for the third time. She is slated to run at 12:55 p.m., this Saturday, at Wamego Country Club.
West Elk senior Bryan Epperson will be representing the Patriots at the 2A Boys state contest. He is slated to run at 12:20 p.m., at Wamego Country Club.
