The Eureka Tornado football team concluded regular season play last Friday in Fredonia, with a 20-53 loss to the Yellowjackets. Eureka will return to Fredonia this Thursday for post season action. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m.
Eureka quarterback Peyton Hare scored on a rushing play to give the Tornadoes an 8-6 lead in the first quarter.
Hare found TJ Mills later in the first quarter for an 85-yard pass. The quarter ended with both teams tied at 14.
Eureka struggled in the second quarter and was down 14-40 going into the half.
Mills scored the final touchdown for Eureka with a 50-yard touchdown pass. Eureka trailed 2047, at the end of the third.
Eureka lost the game, 20-53. The Tornadoes will return to Fredonia this Thursday to face the Yellowjackets to conclude the season.
