Walk MS Event Slated For April 5

With raising awareness for a long-lasting (chronic) disease of the central nervous system, local resident Ariel Treece has organized a Walk MS event for Saturday, April 5. Nearly one million people live with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in the United States, including several in the Eureka community.

The community is encouraged to join the Walk MS event on Saturday, April 5, at Lion’s Park. The event will begin at 2 p.m., with the walk officially beginning at 2:15 p.m. The goal is for participants to walk one mile (or more) to show solidarity and support for those fighting the disease.

Those in attendance are asked to wear something orange to support MS fighters. Organizers plan to be at Lion’s Park through 4 p.m. on April 5.
