Tornadoes Competed At State Powerlifting Meet Valentine, Hare and Mouer Named Runners-Up
Will Fitzwater, Kalim Mouer, Brooklyn Ogden, Olivia Valentine, Peyton Hare and Jace Hardenbrook

Six Eureka Tornadoes traveled to Royal Valley High School on Saturday, March 29 for the State Powerlifting meet.

Eureka seniors Olivia Valentine and Kalim Mouer and junior Peyton Hare claimed the runner-up title in their divisions.

Valentine: 132 weight class, was second overall. She was second in bench with a lift of 135 pounds, second in squat with a lift of 230 pounds, second in clean with a lift of 135 pounds.

Mouer: 181 weight class, was second overall. He was second in bench with a lift of 295 pounds, third in squat with a lift of 445 pounds, fifth in clean with a lift of 270 pounds.

Hare: 198 weight class, was second overall. He was fifth in bench with a lift of 255 pounds, second in squat with a lift of 445 pounds, second in clean with a lift of 275 pounds.

Brooklyn Ogden: 114 weight class, was eighth in bench with a lift of 90 pounds, second in squat with a lift of 185 pounds, seventh in clean with a lift of 105 pounds.

Will Fitzwater: 181 weight class, best lift at bench at 185 pounds, best lift at squat at 330 pounds, best lift at clean at 200 pounds.

Jace Hardenbrook: 242 weight class - only was able to compete in bench due to a hamstring injury which he won with a lift of 275 pounds.
