The following are results for area teams at contests last week. Additional details from the contests were unavailable at the time of publication.
Eureka Tornado Volleyball
The Tornado high school volleyball team traveled to Humboldt last Tuesday where the varsity squad fell to Humboldt 21-25 and 11-25 and fell to Cherryvale 16-25 and 17-25. In junior varsity action, Eureka lost to Humboldt 1925 and 10-25 and also fell to Cherryvale 19-25 and 23-25. C-team volleyball defeated Humboldt 32-30. Eureka was trailing in the second game 22-23 when time expired.
Eureka will compete in the Dexter 2A Sub-State tournament this weekend.
Junior High Volleyball
The Eureka junior high volleyball team traveled to Leon to face the Bluestem Lions in their final contest of the season. The A-team defeated Bluestem 25-13 and 25-9; B-team won 1725, 25-9 and 15-10; C-team lost 19-25 and 15-25; and D-team was defeated 2517, 12-25 and 7-15.
Football Eureka
The Eureka Tornadoes hosted Council Grove last Friday, where the Tornadoes fell 0-43.
Madison
The Bulldogs of Madison hosted Burlingame last Friday night. The Bulldogs fell 24-42.
