Columbus sophomore Cara Altis, formerly of Eureka, will represent the Titans, along with teammates at the 4A State Tournament in Salina this weekend, Feb. 28-March 1.
Altis (26-15) placed seventh in the 125 pound weight class at the 4A East Regional in Paola on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14-15. She received a bye, won by fall over Brooklyn Taylor (Baldwin) 21-14 (Fall 1:23), lost a 0-5 decision to Pyper Lough (Frontenac) 33-9; won by fall over Mylee Miller (Chanute Hs) 23-20 (Fall 4:14); lost a 6-11 decision to Riley Mohler (Silver Lake) 26-16 and won by fall over Alexys Epp (Paola) 22-11 (Fall 1:48). Altis is the daughter of Justin and Tonia Noel of Columbus, and Cody and Jade Altis of Oswego. She is the granddaughter of Roger and Marcia Altis of Eureka.
