Eureka sixth grader Molly Dehlinger, age 12, claimed top honors during the South Central Regional Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest on Sunday, Feb. 16 at Garden Plain High School.
Dehlinger made 16/25 free throws, tying for first place. During the shoot off, she made 3/5 to claim the title.
Also representing Eureka at the regional contest was Eureka third grader Sawyer Ptacek, age 9. She made 11/25 and placed fourth in her division.
Dehlinger, daughter of Taylor and Madeline Dehlinger of Eureka, will advance to the state contest on Sunday, March 2 in Salina.
