MY EUREKA Minute

Sometimes going above and beyond to show gratitude is necessary. This past week, a group of Myrekans met at the school and greeted the kids as they came into school Thursday morning. We handed out thank you notes, candy and Myreka stickers to thank the kids for all the work they did on community service day.

Community service is important. Not just to complete tasks that need to be completed, but to become part of the community with your blood, sweat and tears. Learning about your community and what it needs, how it is maintained and doing the work yourself allows you to have pride in what you have accomplished and by extension, where you live.
