Three area schools crowned new royalty last Friday during special ceremonies.
West Elk Winter Homecoming crowned seniors Boedy Murphy and Marisa Ghramm as this year’s royalty. The crowning was held during halftime of the boy’s basketball game against Caldwell. Both the Patriot girls and boys were victorious over the Bluejays. See related article.
Ghramm is the daughter of Tuffy and LaTisha Ghramm of Fall River. Murphy is the son of Damian and Kelly Murphy of Moline.
The 2025 West Elk Winter Homecoming court also included: Kylie Beougher, Trailyn Wiseman, Nevaeh Tillapaugh, Andruw Rodriquez, Clancy Cummings and Mason Cookson.
The kindergarten attendants were Skylee Edwards and Hudson Houchin. They were escorted by 2024 Winter Homecoming Queen Courtney Hare and King Nolan Denton.
Madison and Hamilton named their King and Queen of Courts following the Bulldog basketball games against Crest, where the Bulldogs swept the Lancers. See related article.
Madison crowned seniors Lily Hudson and Colton Isch, as this year’s Queen and King of Courts. Hudson is the daughter of David and Tonya Hudson of Madison. Isch is the son of Justin and Liz Isch of Madison. Other members of the Madison royal court were fellow seniors: Cheyenne Trower, Miranda Houston, Shakoda Kindsvater, Gabriel Villarreal, Will Grimmett and Justin Buchman. The kindergarten attendants for the event were Maelyn Baysinger and Miles McNeal.
Hamilton crowned seniors Allie Ebberts and Jacob Fritz, as this year’s Queen and King of Courts. Ebberts is the daughter of Deana Ebberts of Hamilton. Fritz is the son of Boyd and Tracy Schneider of Hamilton.
Other members of the Hamilton royal court were: Tisha Hershberger, Catherine Seiter, Reily Maier and Landon Lewis. Crown bearers were Connor Seiter and Nora Collinge.
