The Madison Bulldogs swept Crest on Friday, Feb. 7, for their King and Queen of Courts event and split with Mission Valley on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
Against Mission Valley, the Lady Bulldogs lost a close 40-46 game. Scoring for the Lady Bulldogs were Jalynn Weakley 14, Caylin Luthi 12, Sadie Albert 7, Jenna Thomsen 6 and Kamdynn White 1. The Madison boys jumped out to a 15-11 lead against Mission Valley and went 10-4 in the second to increase their lead to 25-15. The Lancers scored 18 points in the second and were within one going into the final stanza. Madison led 34-33. The Bulldogs went on to win the game, 47-43. Scoring for Madison were Colton Isch 19, Octavian Dean 12, Cory Yowell 10 and Brayden Grimmett, Lane Smith and Cade Hurlburt all with 2.
Against Crest
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Crest, 47-38, on their home court last Friday. Scoring for the Bulldogs were Luthi 14, Weakley 10, Jenna Thomsen 9, Albert and White each with 6 and Bayleigh Benjamin 2.
Madison’s boys trailed 7-10 after the first and 1824 at halftime, but came out to dominate in the third to lead 33-28 with one quarter in regulation. The Bulldogs continued their run in the fourth, outscoring the Lancers 11-10 to win the game 4438. Scoring for the Bulldogs were Dean 19, Isch 11, Smith 6, Yowell 5 and Grimmett 3.
