The Eureka Businesswomen met on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at TNT Catering. There were 12 members and one guest present. The guest was Genell Garner, who was the businesswoman of the month. Roll call was answered by “Name at least 3 things you have don for yourself since January?”
Minutes of the January meeting were given and approved as read. The treasurer’s report was given and approved as read.
Jayme Lewis made an announcement that the Health Department has hired an insurance biller.
There was no correspondence to be read.
Businesswoman of the month, Garner, was presented with a certificate. Garner is the owner/ operator of Massage by Genell. She runs her massage business out of the Greenwood Hotel. She has been a massage therapist for 25 years, since 2000. She did her massage therapy training in Columbia, Mo. She does 60-minute and 90-minute massages. She can do any modality. Her massages work on blood flow, help with healing, help with relaxing and post-or or pre-op. She does massages for all ages. She works Monday through Saturday, daytime appointments. Garner reports that her passion is helping people with pain get out of pain.
There was no program for the evening.
Door prizes were won by Tammi Burtin and Mary Ann Thornton.
There were no February birthdays present. The club sang Happy Anniversary to Monte and Tammi Burtin, who have been married 25 years.
