The mini mart and bait shop at Tri-Corner is under new management as has expanded its services.
In November of last year, Scott and Chantel Mendenhall took over ownership of Tri-Corner, after purchasing the business from Chantel’s parents, Mike and Becky Lolley.
The Mendenhalls have worked at the “old-time general store” over holidays in the past and decided that there was no better time than the present to take the leap to business ownership. “We have a little bit of everything from food, drinks, cookware, pet supplies, toys, movies, medicines, Clothes and Fishing supplies, cigarettes, beer, and other items,” stated Scott. We also have a storage area great for RVs and Boats,” he continued.
Although the Mendenhalls are running things similar to the Lolleys, they opted to expand their services and Tri-Corner now features a liquor store with beer, wines and spirits.
Prior to becoming a business owner, Scott most recently worked in the casino industry as a surveillance investigator, for four years. He also spent time as a phlebotomist and served as an animal control officer. Chantell is the Business Manager for BCTGM 218, a local Union that has members in Frito Lay, Bimbo Bakery and Land o’Lakes.
