The Madison Bulldog basketball teams were busy last week with three regular season match-ups.
Madison first traveled to Hartford where the boys suffered a 43-45 loss in overtime. The Bulldogs led 9-5 after the first, 21-17 at half; but trailed 29-32 going into the final quarter. Both teams were tied at 39, at the end of regulation. Scoring for the Bulldogs were Octavian Dean 14, Colton Isch 13, Cade Hurlburt 8, Brayden Grimmett 6 and Cory Yowell 2.
On Thursday, Jan. 23, the Bulldogs battled the Eagles of Olpe for a rescheduled game. The boys trailed 11-22 at halftime, 28-36 after the third and lost the game 3644. Scoring for Madison were Dean 17, Isch 13 and Yowell and Hurlburt each with 3.
On Friday, Jan. 24, the Bulldogs battled Marais des Cygnes Valley (MdCV) where they came away with a 55-32 victory over MdCV. Madison led 17-15 after the first, 32-22 after the second and 43-28 after the third. Scoring for the Bulldogs were Dean 19, Isch 13, Hurlburt 12, Grimmett 6, Yowell 3 and Lane Smith 2.
The Lady Bulldogs lost a close 42-43 game against Hartford on Tuesday and suffered a 34-48 loss to Olpe. Additional details were unavailable at the time of publication.
