Thirteen days after placing Eureka City Administrator Joel Laws on paid administrative leave, the Eureka City Council approved a resignation non-disclosure agreement.
The agreement was approved during a special meeting on Thursday, Jan. 16. The meeting included two executive sessions, totaling 30 minutes, for legal matters with City Attorney James Watson and City Clerk Renee Burk. Due to the non-disclosure agreement, no additional information was shared with our office.
Laws was placed on administrative leave on Jan. 3, following a special meeting. He began as the Eureka City Administrator in March of 2024.
The council held a routine meeting on Monday, Jan. 13.
