KOVSTo Offer Mobile Outreach Event ForVeterans

On Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 22-23, the Kansas Office on Veterans Services (KOVS) will offer a mobile outreach event for area veterans.

The two-day event will be held at Veterans Memorial Hall at 309 N. Oak Street, in Eureka, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

Resources available include: VA Healthcare Enrollment, VA Disability Claim Information and Filing, Obtaining Military Records/DD214, PACT Act Information, Surviving Spouse Benefit Information, State Benefits; and Disability Claims for Service-Connected Conditions. If veterans qualify, they would also be eligible for VA Healthcare, Veteran Cemeteries, Burial Benefits and Head stones to surviving family; Veteran Homes for veteran if nursing home care is needed; Death benefits, Surviving Dependent Benefits; Educational benefits for Veterans, Spouses, and Children (if in school under 23 years old); Pensions, homeless, Aid and Attendance.

Veterans and/or spouses are asked to bring the following: Discharge Papers (DD214), Marriage Certificate and Children’s Birth Certificates (if under 18 years of age or going to school full time).

KOVS covers all 105 counties in Kansas, serving more than 190,000 veterans.
