Sherman/Schroer United In Wedding Ceremony

Eli Sherman of Hamilton and Katelyn Schroer of Strong City were united in marriage on Saturday, September 9, at 4 p.m. at Schroer Pond in Strong City. GW Yeager officiated the ceremony.

Eli Sherman of Hamilton and Katelyn Schroer of Strong City were united in marriage on Saturday, September 9, at 4 p.m. at Schroer Pond in Strong City. GW Yeager officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mitch and Kristy Schroer of Strong City. She is the granddaughter of Ace and Debbie Schroer of Strong City, and PD and Bobbie Miller of Emporia.

The groom is the son of Clint and Keila Sherman of Hamilton. He is the grandson of the late Melvin Sherman formerly of Hamilton and Laurel Sherman of Hamilton, John & Rhonda McGuire of Derby and Randy and Tammy Talkington of Fall River.

Bridesmaids Kaylee Long, Katie Sherman, Kelsey Lauer and Isabel Jones carried sunflower arrangements.

Groomsmen were Dylan Freund, Anthony Freund, David Horn and Colton Miller.

Raelynn Slate, niece of the Groom, was the flower girl. Vic Schroer, cousin of the Bride, was the ring bearer.

The wedding reception was held at the Strong City Rodeo Grounds. The band Brickhorse performed live music.

The bride is a 2019 graduate of Chase County High School in Cottonwood Falls. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Accounting and Masters of Business Administration at Emporia State University in May of this year. She works as an accountant at Wright CPA Group PA, Emporia.

The groom is a 2017 graduate of Hamilton High School. He went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from Flint Hills Technical College. He is currently employed at Simmon’s Pet Foods.

After taking a honeymoon trip in Honolulu, Hawaii, the couple resides in Emporia.
