Five West Elk Patriots traveled to Burlington for the 33rd Annual Burlington Invitational, with one returning home with hardware. Freshman Welch Murphy placed third in the 106 pound weight class.

175: Landon Wunderlich (6-4) received a bye; lost by fall to Bowen McIntosh (Burlington HS) 7-6 (Fall 1:19); won a 23-8 tech fall over Jacob Novotny (Neodesha HS) 8-8 (TF 3:55); and lost by fall to Chris McClendon (Wellsville HS) 16-5 (Fall 2:43).
190: Boedy Murphy (15-4) placed 6th. He received a bye; won by fall over McCoy Cody (Neodesha HS) 5-6 (Fall 1:39); lost by fall to Cole Mathes (Humboldt HS) 15-0 (Fall 3:35); lost by fall to Raydn Martin (Caney Valley HS) 16-3 (Fall 4:20); and lost by medical forfeit to David Felipe (Coffeyville-Field Kindley HS) 5-6.
215: Joshua Patteson (15-4) placed 6th. He received a bye; won a 16-0 tech fall over Jaxton Gile (Fredonia HS) 4-2 (TF 4:24); lost by fall to Brenden O`Connor (Baldwin HS) 14-6 (Fall 1:53); lost by fall to Catch DeLaney (McPherson HS) 16-4 (Fall 2:15); and lost by fall to Mason Bruggman (Cherryvale HS) 9-8 (Fall 3:44).
285: Edward Metcalf (6-13) received a bye; he lost a 3-19 tech fall to Kendrick Vande Velde (Silver Lake HS) 11-2 (TF 2:08); received a bye; and lost by fall to Colton Babcock (Neodesha HS) 10-6 (Fall 0:55).
