Took Over Ownership Of Eureka Pharmacy

A dream became a reality last week as Isaac and Heidi Boone took over ownership of Eureka Pharmacy. “Growing up, I quickly came to appreciate the greatness of my small hometown and everything it offered me during my youth,” stated Isaac. “In my junior year of high school, I set a goal to become a pharmacist and eventually return to give back to the community that shaped me. To this day, I can’t imagine a better place to call home,” he continued.

For nearly a decade, Isaac has been working for Eureka Pharmacy in some capacity. However, the connection to the local pharmacy started in his younger years. Growing up, Isaac looked up to his Uncle Mark McMullen, who owned McMullen Drug in Eureka and served as the Pharmacy Manager/PIC at Greenwood County Hospital (GWCH), a role in which Isaac also currently holds. He was given a firsthand look at being a community pharmacist and hasn’t looked back at the dream since he set it in motion during his junior year of high school.

In 2005, Isaac began working for the pharmacy as a clerk/ delivery driver. He graduated from Eureka Junior/Senior High School in 2006.

During the next six years, while attending the University of Kansas, he would return to Eureka and would work for the pharmacy, working his way up to the tech position and then as an intern. In 2012, he graduated with his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree and returned to Eureka.

“We look forward to continuing to build our great team and potentially expanding our services in the future. Our team members have brought forward some fantastic ideas, and we’re excited to explore them together,” stated Isaac. “We are committed to providing the same exceptional care for our patients that Eureka Pharmacy has delivered for years,” he continued.

“My family and I are excited to call Eureka home for many years to come. We couldn’t think of a better way to deepen our involvement in the community than by becoming business owners. The support we’ve received from this community has been incredible, and we’re truly grateful. I’m especially thankful for the amazing people I work with and the close bonds we’ve built over the years. Having such a strong team to learn from and collaborate with has made this transition much smoother,” stated Isaac. Isaac and Heidi, who serves as the Community Development Coordinator for Eureka, have three children, Brylee, 9; Asher, 6 and Emory, 5.

Eureka Pharmacy is located at 1602 N. Elm Street, in Eureka and is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. The pharmacy can be reached at 620583-5488.
