The Elk County Wrestling (ECW) Cobras traveled to Wichita and Towanda over the weekend. To kick-off the events, the ECW traveled to Kapuan’s Crusader Clash on Saturday, Jan. 4 and then to Towanda for the Circle Classic on Sunday, Jan. 5.
The following are the individual match victories for ECW participants: The Crusader Clash 6U Boys 37: Jayce Baumgartel placed 3rd. He won by fall over Luke Ramirez (Hutchinson) (Fall 1:37); and won by fall over Bryson Kirby (Abilene Kids) (Fall 0:11) 6U Boys 49A: Skylee Edwards placed 4th.
6U Boys 67-72: Kyptyn McTaggart placed 3rd. He won a 16-5 major decision over Fallon Leonard (Maize); and won a 16-0 tech fall over Milo Johnson (Herington).
14U Girls 92-102: Emma Baumgartel placed 1st. She won by fall over Lilliana Grant (Maize) (Fall 4:00); and won by fall over Charlee King (South Central Punishers) (Fall 0:31).
8U Novice 46-49: Flint Pope placed 1st. He won by fall over Vito Corti (Carroll) (Fall 1:37); won by fall over Birk Solomon (Iron Grapplers) (Fall 0:14); won a 17-0 tech fall over Kaden Nichols (CYWC); and won by fall over Ryker Hartzler (WTC) (Fall 1:57).
8U Novice 61A: Konlee Bidwell placed 6th.
10U Boys 82: Kash Bidwell placed 1st. He won by fall over Jax Kelemete (Chaparral Kids) (Fall 0:33); won by fall over Hudson Harp (Brawlers) (Fall 3:00); won by fall over Oliver Kraus (WTC) (Fall 1:57); and won a 13-2 major decision over Meyer Kempf (Iron Grapplers).
Circle Classic 6U Boys 37: Jayce Baumgartel placed 3rd. He won by forfeit over Radley Whiteside (Bluestem).
6U Boys 46B: Kestyn McTaggart placed 3rd. He won by forfeit over Liam Calderon (Newton); and won by forfeit over (CYWC).
