After three years of renovations, a special open house will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 7, from 5-8 p.m. to check out Eureka’s newest remodeled upstairs downtown apartment.
When Stuart Campbell began working on his new home, in the former Berentz building located at 115 W. 3rd Street, the new apartment lacked a bathroom, kitchen, heating, cooling, gas, or water and was not livable. But, he had a vision for living downtown in this apartment. He began the daunting project of remodeling the unfinished upstairs apartment. “Three years later with lots of obstacles, hard work, help from many friends, guidance from many friends, it is finished,” stated his father, Dan Campbell. “It took vision, hard work, persistence, and determination. My hat is off to Stuart for his determination. Come and celebrate the completion with us,” he continued.
