Placed First At Erie JV Scramble

Three Lady Tornadoes traveled to Erie last Thursday for the annual junior varsity three-man scramble.

Three Lady Tornadoes traveled to Erie last Thursday for the annual junior varsity three-man scramble.

Eureka’s team, comprised of seniors Makyla Gore, Kate Tourelle and Lyndsey Escareno, claimed first place honors.

Lady Tornado Escareno also claimed the Longest Drive contest.

In varsity action, the Lady Tornadoes competed at Anderson County on Monday of last week. The 18-hole tournament was the final regular season varsity tournament. As a team, Eureka placed third with a team score of 425. Tornado senior Annaliese Casper placed 3rd with an 83; Tourelle placed 8th with a 92; junior Keira Crisswell was 31st with a 112 and Gore was 51st with a 138.

Eureka competed at the Girard Regional on Monday of this week. As of press time, results were unavailable as the tournament was still underway. (Courtesy photo)
