The Eureka Wrestling Club (EWC) had athletes take to the mats twice before the Christmas holiday. On Saturday, Dec. 21, members traveled to Park City for the annual Warrior Clash, before the EWC hosted an annual kids mixer on Sunday, Dec. 22.
Following are the individual match wins for Eureka participants:
Eureka Kids Mixer 6U Boys 47-48: Aiden Michael placed 3rd. He won by forfeit over Andy Beal (West Elk).
6U Boys 48-52: Zaiden Meza placed 2nd. He won a 16-1 tech fall over Alden Ford (West Elk); and won by fall over Tallion Shaw (Eureka) (Fall 0:08) 6U Boys 48-52: Tallion Shaw placed 3rd. He won an 18-2 tech fall over Alden Ford (West Elk) (TF 18-2).
6U Boys 50-52: Kase Vinson placed 3rd. He won a 12-0 major decision over James Moore (El Dorado).
6U Boys 50-52: Remington Genoble placed 2nd. He won a 10-9 decision over Kase Vinson (Eureka); and won an 11-6 decision over James Moore (El Dorado).
6U Boys 53-56: Cooper Hamilton placed 4th.
8U Boys 44-53: Jad Day placed 1st. He won by fall over Acey Bachelor (Central Heights) (Fall 0:26); and won by fall over Acey Bachelor (Central Heights) (Fall 2:28).
8U Boys 51-54: Maddox Ring placed 3rd.
8U Boys 56-59: Kaydenn Winn placed 4th.
8U Boys 60-63: Tucker Williams placed 2nd. He won by fall over Rigden Gobel (Circle) (Fall 1:54); and won a 7-5 decision over Konlee Bidwell (West Elk).
8U Boys 61-64: Jayden Michael placed 2nd. He won by fall over Kayden Dinneen (Central Heights) (Fall 1:45); and won by fall over Knox Moore (Bluestem) (Fall 0:43).
8U Boys 64-69: Ethan Chastain placed 4th.
8U Boys 75-82: Carson Eismann placed 4th.

8U Girls 56-61: Miah Hughes placed 2nd. She won by fall over Ava Lowry (Circle) (Fall 0:20).

14U Open 120: Tate Scott placed 5th. He won a 14-8 decision over Kale Sharples (Ogden`s Outlaws Wrestling Club); won a 12-10 decision over Kelton Doucet (Kansas Young Guns Wrestling Cl); and won by fall over Kelton Doucet (Kansas Young Guns Wrestling Cl) (Fall 1:58).
14U Open 160: Jadden Winn placed 4th.
