Three Eureka Tornado wrestlers claimed hardware at the Hoisington Corner Classic on Friday, Dec. 20.
Eureka sophomores Mason Hughes and Maela Neill both claimed second place honors and junior Harlie Owings placed third.

Mason Hughes (13-3) placed 2nd. He won by fall over Kalob Lamb (Hoisington) 5-6 (Fall 0:46); received a bye; won by fall over Brian Casas (Liberal) 2-2 (Fall 0:59); won a 17-6 major decision over Brayden Smith (Larned) 4-9; and lost by fall to Cal Schartz (Great Bend) 12-2 (Fall 0:39).
190: Kadin Deshane (5-9) placed 6th. He won by fall
over Grant Strecker (Concordia) 8-9 (Fall 2:47); lost by fall to Landon Haney (Larned) 5-2 (Fall 5:57); lost by fall to Brady Mendez (Great Bend) 3-9 (Fall 0:31); received a bye; and lost by fall to Mario Rohling (Larned) 3-2 (Fall 0:22).

Ethan Bauer (7-9) placed 5th.
