The Bulldogs of Madison made a clean sweep against Waverly on Friday, Dec. 20, for their final action of 2024.
The Lady Bulldogs remain undefeated, as they claimed a 43-21 victory over Waverly. Leading the Bulldogs in scoring were: Jalynn Weakley 15, Candice Ashlock 8 and Caylin Luthi 7. The Lady Bulldogs move into action in 2025 with a 6-0 record.
Madison’s boys may have gotten off to a slow start against Waverly, trailing 6-12 after the first; but they would outscore the Bulldogs of Waverly in the next three quarters. Madison trailed 16-19 at halftime and led 31-25 with one quarter remaining.
The Madison Bulldogs didn’t let off the gas in the fourth and scored more in the final stanza than they did in the first half with 20 points. Madison won the game 51-31. Four Bulldogs from Madison scored in double figures against Waverly: Colton Isch, Brayden Grimmett, Cory Yowell and Octavian Dean all with 12 each.
Also scoring for Madison was Cade Hurlburt 2 and Lane Smith 1.
