The West Elk Patriot boys basketball team hosted Fredonia on Friday, Dec. 20 for their final match-up before the winter break.
Despite scoring in double digits in all four quarters, the Patriots found themselves on the losing end of a 70-76 game.
West Elk trailed 15-22 after the first, 31-35 at halftime and 48-57 going into the final quarter.
Scoring for the patriots were Maddex Moreno 18, Kase Kill 17, Garett Usry and Jaxson Bodgahn each with 11, Peyton Fechter 6, Jacen Gaston 5 and Gage Cook 2.
