And, just like that Christmas is here and we are just one week away from a new year. Time truly does go faster the older we get. As of last Friday, I still hadn’t completed my Christmas shopping and with a crazy deadline schedule, allowed myself to enter “panic” mode. The waves came and went. I learned that I wasn’t alone and many others were also having various waves come over them and weigh them down. From trying to get homes ready to host, to preparing meals and wrapping presents, there are many things to stress over. However, Christmastime is time to be with loved ones. To continue traditions and make new ones, all while creating memories. This year sure had it struggles; but, it also had great blessings. I allowed myself to hear too much of the negative things around me and let them silence the positive ones. Being able to see it is half the battle. Now, as we move into 2025 (and this holiday season), I am hopeful to set a goal to try to filter out the negative noise around and focus the positive that is all around.
The staff at The Eureka Herald would like to wish all of our readers a very Merry Christmas. Here’s to hoping that each and every one of you are surrounded by loved ones this holiday season. Cherish each and every moment that you have with family and friends as you never know what life will bring us in the coming years. Merry Christmas!
Robin Wunderlich Quote of the Week “Christmas is a season for kindling the fire for hospitality in the hall, the genial flame of charity in the heart.” ~ Washington Irvin
