Area Athletes Named To Grassland All-Star Teams

Grassland All-Star team selections for 2024 fall sports were announced, with multiple area athletes featured in the lineup.

Those being named to the Football Grassland All-Stars 1st Team Offense from the area are: from Eureka: junior TJ Mills, WR; from Madison: senior Packer Bolinger, OL, juniors Octavian Dean, TE and Cruz Leiser, RB; and from West Elk: seniors Trent Haag, QB, Creyo Koop, RB and Josh Pattenson, OL. Others listed were from Burlington: seniors Brody Andersen, WR and Kent Stucky OL; from Chase County: senior Chris Rangel, OL and junior Wyatt Griffin QB & P and from Olpe: junior Cade Witmore, OL.

Those being named to the Football Grassland All-Stars 2nd Team Offense from the area are: from Eureka: seniors Jace Hardenbrook, OL and Kalim Mouer, RB and junior Peyton Hare, QB; from Madison: senior Cade Hurlburt, WR and Jack King, OL; and from West Elk: junior Roman Moreno, OL. Others listed were from Burlington: senior Chance Hegg, QB and junior Odon Van Patten, OL; from Chase County: seniors Landon Doty, WR and Noah Kamholtz, TE and junior Hudson Doty, OL; from Flinthills: senior Noah Lacey, RB and junior Taylor Carroll, OL; and from Yates Center: freshman Gavin Busteed, P.

Those athletes being named to the All-Star 2nd team from the area are from Madison: senior Candice Ashlock, S; and from West Elk: senior Jaicey Tillapaugh, MH/DS. Others being named were from Chase County: sophomore Natalie Neff, S/OH; from Flinthills: junior Alex Scribner, L; from Hartford: senior Lexi Giesken-Mears, OH; from Olpe: junior Lilly Skalsky. OH/MH; and from SCC: senior Karley Ohl, OH/MH.

Those being named to the Homorable Mention team are from Eureka: junior Alaina Westerman, S/MH; from Madison: junior Sadie Albert, MH and from West Elk: senior Josey Toon, S. Coach of the Year for Volleyball was Crystal Ratcliff from Flinthills.
