Rawlings explained that during the transition from cooling to heating the building, the server room had been at approximately 80 degrees and he noted this needs to be cool. Rawlings told commissioners that the upper limit for temperature in the room housing the server is 80 degrees. He noted if the server were to go down due to the high temperature, this would impact computers courthouse-wide. Rawlings reported that if the server were fried, it would take weeks to receive a new one. He then suggested a mini split or a window unit be put into the room. Commissioners approved spending up to $4,000 for this.

Greenwood County Fire Chief Glen Collinge was present to discuss mechanical issues with the 91 AMC General truck 76 for Central Division Fire. Greenwood offered a reminder that the decision was made by the county to move forward, if they receive grant funding or not. State Street Bridge was another location requested for discussion with Maris. A site at K Road where a tree has been laying across the road since April was brought to the floor for discussion. It was noted at this time that a minimum maintenance sign has been requested for this at K Road and Highway 54. Greenwood shared that Road and Bridge received a call last week and the chip distributor was fixed and ready to pick up. It was again reminded that townships wanting items completed in conjunction with the county should have them submitted for completions prior to the end of the year.

Rural property owner Frank McCollum was on Monday’s agenda in regards to 40th Street and questioned if a survey was being planned in regards to road width. McCollum commented that as this would be transitioning from a township road to a county road, he was inquiring if road width would be impacted. It was noted that 24 foot is the width for a county road. Greenwood noted it was close to 24 feet, but would be looked at once they take over. McCollum expressed concerns in regards to the right-of-way. Emergency Management Director Levi Vinson commented that right-of-way depends on the era a given site was made a road and noted the road in question is a 60foot right-of-way. Vinson explained that if a survey were completed, it would show that fences along the stretch are in the right-ofway. Commissioners told McCollum they were not expanding the right-of-way.
