The Eureka Music Club met Monday, Nov. 11, at the Eureka Christ Lutheran Church, with Mary Ellen Forbes and Rise Russin serving as co-hostesses. Eleven members and one guest, Alexa Teichgraeber, were present. Roll call was answered with, “What year did you join Music Club?”
The monthly business meeting was led by Forbes. The themes of the program were Eureka Music Club’s 90th Anniversary and Veteran’s Day. Forbes presented information about the club’s membership from 1934-2024.
Two piano duets, “Onward Christian Soldiers,” and “Yankee Doodle,” were performed by Jean Edwards and Russin. Russin talked about the changes in the club’s program books over the years and shared some of the club’s many events. Club members also shared some of their fond memories about Music Club.
The theme for the December program will be, “Our Favorite Christmas Songs,” with Vandetta Mongeau and Robin Himes planning the program. Carolyn Perrier and Carla Cook will be the hostesses.
